Hello,

Just picked up my first HK Firearm. I bought a P2000 from a friends of mine and all I have to say is WOW! This is an excellent addition to my collection and will most likely become my new concealed carry weapon. I think I'm hooked on HKs and have already begun the search for a nice full-sized weapon. Maybe something in a .45. Any thoughts?

Congratulations on buying one of the best guns available. Did you buy the 9mm or the 357 or 40? I think that you are officially infected by the HK bug, since you are already thinking about which one to buy next (welcome to this forum, you can find a lot of folks here with the same disease.) If you like a fullsize .45, I don`t think that you can do much better than the HK45. I like mine a lot.

Congratulations! Just to warn you a lot of us have a real problem with our HK guns--we can't seem to stop buying more. Less than six months after my first HK purchase two more showed up. BEWARE!

Yes, it is addictive! I bought two last year! You better don't touch any HK 45 because you will end up buying it! My Hk45C shoots great and loves any hot ammo. Very soft shooting 45. If I would have the only one pistol, this would be HK45C. Safe shooting.

Congrats on your purchase and enjoy it! I am sure you will. I have a P2000 and its what I carry. If you are looking for a 45 I would check out the HK USP 45 and the HK45.... I would go to a local shop and handle both and buy which ever one you like best... you cant go wrong with either one both pistols are excellent 45's Good Luck.

Thanks. I checked out the HK45C at the local gun shop and all I can say is WOW! They even had one for rent there and, even for a beat-up rental firearm, it was smooth as butter. Now I am just trying to convince my fiance I can purchase is and STILL pay for the honeymoon.... gulp... wish me luck!

Yes, these guns are very addictive. I bought my first HK in Nov. and two weeks later bought a 2nd and now own 4 total. The second was an HK45c which I see others have already suggested. It's a fantastic gun and would definitely be one of the last guns I would get rid of.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum.

You can't go wrong with a HK45 or USP .45, try some out.
