I was noticing some differences between these

My 45 weight has the MATCH and HK logo machined and then painted
While the 9mm is just pad printed

The 45 has a smooth feel, while the 9mm has a textured feel and finally

The 45 is black while the 9mm is gray.

The 9mm one I have is just like the one located in the below URL
http://www.robertrtg.com/hkuspmatchweight.html

However HK pro's version of the 9mm weight looks just like my 45
http://www.hkpro.com/uspmatch.htm Scroll down to pic of the slide/weight

Are both versions Factory H&K or is one an aftermarket? Any clarification would be great

TIA

Both are factory but the differences have nothing to do with caliber. Early Match weights were engraved, later ones have the lettering silk-screened on and this applies to all calibers. When the switch occurred from engraved to printed I cannot say but the engraved ones seem to fetch a premium for some reason. Personally I could not care less if it is engraved or not because the painted on letters hold up just fine.
