Does anyone know where I can get the specs for the MK23 SOCOM (specifically the rail)? I've looked damn near EVERYWHERE on the web but no joy. If anyone has ever seen the MIL-STD-1913 (Picatinny) specs it defines with CAD pics and such all of the measurements required to meet the stated standard. What I seek is something along the same lines. I am looking to get a rail adaptor custom made for my MK23. Thanks in advance.

We all want a rail adapter. Start a poll, and maybe you can get a group buy discount?

I think all of us would love a mil-spec rail adapter, especially if it wasn't like some of the ones available for a USP that just have 1 slot placed in a way to make it work with certain accessories. A true rail adapter would be awesome, I got excited when Surefire was supposedly working on one but like all the others it was vaporware.
If someone can get the specs a custom-made adapter is feasible, but likely at a high price. I wish HK would get off their ass and make one themselves, if no one else cares about the Mark 23 you'd think they would.

My thoughts would be that HK could supply you with those specs if you got a hold of the right rep. Or am I off?

HK has always been far behind on the accessories market. They are, if nothing else, very shortsighted. You know what I got with my Mark 23? A tiny gay box. If you buy a $450 springfield, you get a box of stuff. HK is resting on their laurels, because they know they put out a superior product. If HK weapons came with all that jazz, had their own aftermarket, and tuned up their CS, they'd be unstoppable. And then, because they make so much money, they could even lower prices and get more customers and money. Too easy, this business strategy.

There is a set of frame drawings with those dimensions at HK in Ashburn in the MK23 project binder I compiled during that project, or at least there was when I left. Gook luck finding them though.
VERY few accessories were made for that MK23-unique rail. You might also check with ITI who made the LAM. At one time they had made an adapter for the MK23 to use their various lights.
