I will become the new owner of a USP Custom Combat when im home (currently in Iraq for another 2 weeks) and ive been looking into custom work available for the USP. I found out about Bill Springfield from here, and ran into Bowie Tactical quite by accident. Bowie tactical quotes there trigger job at $75 versus Bill Springfield at $55. Has anybody had any experience with either company? Also has anybody had the "USP Full Size accuracy upgrade" from Bill Springfield?

Bill Springfield is Excellent, fast service, my P 30 works great. Will be sending my HK 45 and USP to him this year.
Bowie is involved with TDI (Tactical Defense Institute), had a very bad experience at one of their classes, Mr. Bowie was a big part of that class, I will not give them or him a dime of my money, ever.
Sorry for the editorial, I just don't to see anyone else get ripped off like I did.

I spoke to Bowie once based on referrals by a nationally recognized industry professional. Had a fairly long turn around time (12 weeks) and said he didn't work on HK45's to lighten the triggers. That ended that.
I had done AR business with Bill Springfield before and his turn around was like 3 days from out my dor to returning back to my door. When I found he worked on other firearms, I jumped at the opportunity to have my trigger worked on and again, he turned my HK parts around in days. His work on my gun gave me a very improved trigger pull and reset that hs several thousand rounds and three tactical HG classes behind it.
I give the man high recommendations. YMMV but he gets my business.
