after the CCW class was done on saturday I put my new HKs to work. I picked up a used, LNIB USP .45 Match and a new HK 45 last week to keep my Elite 9 company. I was impressed. these were the best production guns I have ever fired. The HK 45 was almost as accurate as the Match, I think it was the slightly better trigger on the Match. The ladies at the range loved the Elite 9.
The dual recoil spring system really works. I have shot custom 1911s for years and carried mostly 1911s or Browning Hi Powers since the mid '80s but I never had an out of the box gun as accurate as these HKs. Now I need one more for the "spare sidearm" compartment on my Maxpediditon attach case. I'm guessing either a USP 9 or USP 45 since I already have mags for both. I cannot recommend these pistols highly enough. I should also say that it was Ghilliebear's evil plot to sell me the elite 9 and thus stimulate HKs handgun sales after I had fired it. He knew I would have to have more. beware the Ghilliebear for he is the instigator of massive purchases.
