View Full Version : Need help w/ LEM conversion springs (for lighter LEM pull on my P2000sk)

I just read 16 pages of the light LEM conversion thread and now my head hurts!
It's very confusing because Big Bore (OP of that thread) says that the first set of springs mentioned are for a 2004 (AE) or older P2000/sk. The second set of springs listed is for 2005 (AF) or newer guns.
The problem is my brand new (but not recently manufactured) P2000sk has a 2005 (AF) slide and 2004 (AE) frame. That's why I'm confused as to which springs to use.
So what parts do I need to lighten my pull to 5-6lbs without risking the trigger return being too sluggish? Maybe I should just call H&K and ask to talk to someone who knows what's what...I'm hoping someone here can help me out so I don't have to do that.

So there's nobody who can assist me here?

Sent PM.
Short answer:
2005 FPB spring, xxx296.
Either TRS spring. To make sure you get full trigger return forward at the expense of a slightly heavier trigger pull order the xxx266.
For a slightly lighter pull (1/2 pound at MOST) but possibly a sluggish trigger return (still full reset though) if you let off the trigger slowly order the xxx164.

I got the PM Big Bore. Thanks a ton! I might even order both Trigger Rebound Springs and try them both out to see which I like better.
Btw, what's with the premium membership thing? I've read some things here and there about becoming an H&K Pro "Premium" member and how it has its perks. What exactly are these perks?

Well, in the premium section we have an area where we can talk about anything, not just HK related and there is a direct to HK CS section. I don't think HK logs in there any more but with the return of Travis to HK-USA I am hoping that will change. He was the one that logged in most of the time IIRC but of course that stopped when he left for Styre. Now that he is back with HK I hope the HK-USA web board and the HK CS section of our site will start working again. Also in the premium section, and this is worth the membership price alone, is the "hot scoops" section. Tom occasionally gets information that is too hot to hold on to and passes it on there first. He usually passes it on to the non premium section a week or two later but premium members get it first and we are sworn to secrecy not to spread the info to outsiders. We even have a secrete hand shake. ;)
There are boards about CCW and legal issues, proper shooting technique section, all gun section, Team lounge, and one or two other sections.
Here is a link (http://www.hkpro.com/forum/payments.php) for joining and it will be the best $35 you will spend.

Thanks for that info Big Bore. I'll definitely consider it once I get a little more $ in my pocket.
I called H&K today to order the springs, but I kept getting directed to a gentleman that goes by the name of Jeff. Jeff doesn't like to answer his phone and I highly doubt he'll return my call if I leave him a message. I called again and asked for Travis, but he's out sick today.
Is there any place on the net I can order these parts and get quick service?
-FPB spring #209296
-TRS #209266
Thanks in advance.
