Convert a HK USPc from 9mm to .40????

Is it possible???? I have a friend that has a HK USPc in 9mm can he purchase a .40 or .357 barrel and mag to be used in the same frame?....and vice versa.......I tyold him sell it and buy another but he wants to switch back and forth

Well, in a nut shell, no because the breach face is wider on the .40 then the 9mm and the .40 caliber barrels over all profile is larger then the 9mm and will not fit into the slide.

You can do a .40 to 9mm weapon because the round is smaller.

That being said, I don't remember seeing any .40 to 9mm conversions barrels for the HK USPC .40 or .357 guns.

You might be able to get someone like Jarvis to special make one but for a single piece barrel expect to pay as much as the gun costs. I know when my friend wanted a simple threaded barrel for his P2000, he got some quotes of $700~800.00 to make one because no one was making one.

A .357 will convert to .40 and vice versa. A 9mm won't convert to anything else.

You have to change slide, barrel, recoil spring and magazine.
The frame is the same on both guns.

I wish someone would make a .40 to 9mm barrel for the HK P2000 too. I looked into having one made and one of the barrel makers said they would consider it if we could get a group buy of about 25 or pieces pre-ordered and paid for.

Was never able to get that much interest so I bought a HK P30 when they first came out but for some reason, I like the P2000 more. Feels better in my hand I guess.

it will not work just with a swap in barrel.
The .40 slide is too heavy for the 9mm and vice versa.
It is a balanced system for each caliber.
