I searched the forum and I know this has been asked before but I can't find it...so sorry for the repeat.
Will the Jet Funnel in 9mm fit a compact USP 9? Or just the full size...I heard there is a compact version that it might fit?
Thx for the assistance
The reason I ask is i am in the process of buying an Elite in 9mm with JF mags etc...I figure if I can get a smaller version that takes the same mags would be a very cool combo I think....and OF COURSE an excellent reason to buy another HK !!:20000000:

The true answer is no. The JF will not fit the compact.
Now someone here on HKPRO has taken a JF and (highly) modified it to fit their USPc .45. This also required using longer magazines IIRC to get it to seat properly.
It looked super neat! It also sounded like a lot of work too.

Yes, I own one. :)

Most of them will come with the hybrid LEM/Match trigger. However, mine is standard V1.

I have the LEM version.
How does it perform? Its an HK, bud. 'Nuff said... ;)
But I think what you're asking is for use details, yes? Here ya go...
This is a BIG pistol. It really isn't suitable for carrying, unless in a uniform/SWAT/open carry situation. I bought mine on impulse; saw it at the shop, had cash burning a hole in my pocket, you know how that goes. I shot it in a three-gun match; it fits in the Rosen OWB President that I carry my USPc .45 in, and the "white" magazines fit (albeit too loosely for serious work) in the matching Rosen mag pouch. The 18+1 capacity comes in handy in those USPSA stages where you're shooting for five minutes due to a plethora of targets.
The "competition" LEM trigger is a delight; much lighter than my USPc .45s or the wife's pair of P2000 9mm LEMs. But it is still a LEM, with the advantages of same. If I was still on SWAT, I'd carry this pistol in a heartbeat when rigged out.
The sights are great for shooting in good light. However, the fiber optic front sight element was quite loose in the post , and recoil was slowly but surely battering that fiber optic, to the point where it was about to slip out. I made several inquiries to HK regarding what would they do if it DID "depart", and all they would say is that they don't stock these sights as a replacement item. I imagine Novak would replace the front element; for a price.
I ended up securing the element in there with, of all things, a small dollop of shoe goo. It is holding so far, but since I use the pistol as a nightstand gun, I'm going to install tritium sights soon.
To my mind, this pistol has two functions for the average guy: either a range/play (i.e., competition) gun, or a house/car gun. The capacity makes it excel here; but you can get the same thing with a Glock 17 or 34 using a +2 mag extender.
What little competition I shoot is usually with the USPc .45. Its a good idea to maximize practice/training with what you actually have with you all the time. As a result, the USPf Combat Competition doesn't get shot much. But it is a great pistol, albeit a tad pricey.
I imagine many of those sold are safe queens; that's where mine would stay if I wasn't using it for a 'house gun'.
All said and done, its a very nice piece. I have no plans to get rid of it; however, if someone offered me an HK45C/LEM in trade, I'd take the deal...:480:

THANKS LSP
Very good info...
I carry at work as I work in plain clothes but a Det so not doing U/C stuff anymore so don't care about it showing :) I have carried my M13 for yrs! Just like the idea of more rounds as I get older lol and prob less efficent as I hate to admit it. I have the Expert in 45 as well as a real match and a blade tech holster that fits both...so as silly as it looks to carry, I like it csuse they are both amazeing tac drivers..for me anyway. Just saw that gun and thought it sounded like a fantastic combo of features, capacity, etc. Gonna get an Elite 9mm from a member here to go with my 45 Elite and see how that goes as I do like the Hi Cap issue for duty/work. We get lazy being in plain clothes and often don't carry that extra mag or two we should...so 19 or 20 is always nice :)
Appreciate the info!!!! If I stumble across that USP45cLEM I will buy it and trade ya lol

+1 to everything LSP said. Also, keep in mind it's sometimes difficult to find a holster that will fit the Combat Competition because of the high Novak sights. If I do carry it (which I never do anymore) I use a Desantis Speed Scabbard made for a Glock 20. If your a SERPA guy, I know for a fact this gun won't fit, I asked Blackhawk about this.

HEY GUYS-
IT'S NOT CHEAP BUT IT IS POSSIBLE. THIS IS A PICTURE OF MY CARRY GUN. FITTING THE JET FUNNEL TO THE COMPACT IS ONLY HALF OF IT. YOU HAVE TO MAKE CUSTOM MAGS WITH THE JET FUNNEL BASE PLATE SO IT LOOKS FACTORY. IT IS TIME CONSUMING WORK BUT I PERSONALLY LOVE IT AND THE GUN HOLDS 16 ROUNDS! THAT'S ALWAYS A BONUS....ENJOY, CHRIS

Want to do another one? Does it feed 100% reliable?
If not...you should post a write-up on how to do it. :D

I am pretty certain he DID do a write-up on how he did his and I know that I did a write-up on how I put a JF on my USPC .45.
Do a search on the his name or my name for posts started by the individual and you will see all the posts started by that person. I do not start all that many posts and I don't think he does either.
We used separate approaches to putting a JF on a Compact but both work. Just remember, it's your $80 to play around with so don't get in a hurry.
Those JF mods are sweet, and I do recall those writeups in this forum. Thanks for the sharing pics . . . looks great!
