Is the first pull on the V2 LEM supposed to feel heavier than a V3 DA first pull? I dry fired my new P3O LEM today and once the slide is racked the pull is light but if the slide is not brought back the pull is way heavy. Im new to the LEM, so i didnt know what to expect. But i didnt expect the first pull to be heavier than the first pull on a V3. I think im gonna sell this baby. The V3 is better to me.

My lem trigger is the same way. The way I understand it is if you insert a mag, or not, and rack the slide your in the 'lem mode' and everyshot there after. If you arent loaded and you pull the trigger, then the slide never moves back, and your not going back to the cocked position. I believe the reason it pulls when its not cocked is the second strike capability, incase of a dead primer. Otherwise you always have your lem trigger because once you load it, its ready to go.

But if you dont like it let me be the first to say I will gladly take it off your hands!!

Seriously, pm if interested!!

Where are you located? I'd love to try your LEM.

If you are carrying the weapon with a round in the chamber then it shouldn't be an issue. You will always have the same "light" pull unless a round fails to fire and then you would have the heavy pull for second strike capability.

Once you load a round and rack the slide then the pull will be the same every shot.

Thats how the LEM is supposed to be. In the event the the slide does not cycle on a hard primer or for some other reason, the next pull is heavy, REALLY HEAVY. It was designed that way to try to get the round to fire in lieu of or prior to a tap, rack, re-access, bang if necessary drill. When the slide cylces the pull will be long and light. When the slide does not cycle it will be HEAVY:) It part of how the second strike capability was designed.

Love this idea. I've been shooting Glocks & Sigs for 12 years, but loved my HKs as well. This gives the best of both worlds. LEM is the way to go. I'm looking into HK45 LEM, P2000 LEM & P30(L) LEM some day (45, 40 & 9, respectively).

Thanks very much gents. I get it. Interesting stuff. Now i just have to decide if this trigger system is my cup of tea, or if i'll just stick with my V3. I guess i will dry fire it some more to decide if its a keeper or not.

This is how I dry-fire practice with the LEM.

Verify the pistol is unloaded. Then rack the slide. You are now in the mode you would carry it in. Pull the trigger until it breaks, now keep the trigger depressed and rack the slide again. Now slowly let up on the trigger until you feel it reset, then pull again.

Repeat this as many times as it takes you to become familiar with where the trigger breaks and resets. :)
