I bought a DPMS AP4 308 Quad rail a few months ago; and have not yet shot it, so obviously; pristine condition. And since it just sits there, I was thinking about unloading it; maybe trade it in for a USP 45 CT... I was thinking about talking to the guys that I bought it from... The local gun shop... Just wondering what you all thought, should I private sell it, gunbroker it (ranging from 1200 - 1500) and then take the money and go to CDNN or some other idea? I do want to get the 45CT, I am just not sold on the best way about going about it.... Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

Like anything else, it depends on the market. DPMS is way behind because manufacturers as a whole are slowing down to see what happens with Obama. You won't get what you paid for at the shop. Someone looking for an A4 platform but who is having a hard time finding it will pay more.

Why not post it here under non-HK firearms for sale and see what happens. Maybe someone with a HK45c will be willing to trade and add cash to the deal.

Something I've learned early from listening to others talk about their weapons. All are sorry that they sold or traded a firearm away. Those especially who sold one to get another are the most distressed at their actions. So forget about selling it and just buy the new object of your affection.

+1 Dragongoddess - I did that with an HK91 back in 1990. I'll never do it again.

Never seel a gun, unless it's junk, and you hate the guy you're selling it to.
