I am about getting a P2000SK for CCW, does it conceal better than P2000 or Glock 19?
Also, which caliber should I get? I am thinking about .40 but worries about the recoil, will it affect follow up shot? How is it's recoil compares to P2000 or Glock 23 ?
Should I get a Variants then get a Bill Springfield trigger job? Or get a LEM which is not easy to come by seems.
Thanks

A USPc is the same size as a P2000
I'd go with the 9mm just because you can afford to practice more, easier follow up shots, and it's been proven that the 40S&W rounds are about as effective as a 9mm in shorter barrels.
As far as the variant, get what you feel comfortable shooting.
Keep in mind that there will be no safety either way. LEM or SA/DA is something you have to decide. Once you buy one though, you can't change variants without getting a new frame. The P2k series isn't as versatile as the USP.

Thank you so much for the link and insightful information.
Seems a p2000sk V2 in 9mm is what I need, as it doesn't have the recoil buffer

I just bought a 2000SK, 9mm,V3 from Clyde Armory, they are having their annual HK sale. You get 3 mags, plus night sights when you order from them. My gun was $789 shipped to Texas. You might check them out before you buy. I shot it last weekend, it is a very accurate little gun. It is more accurate than my Glock 26 was. It did come with the mag extensions on all 3 mags, I may get a flat floorplate to try out later. I shot 75 rounds of WWB without trouble. I think you will be pleased with the SK.

I as well just ordered a SK from Clyde Armory. My total was around the same shipped to Missouri, so the price is good. I bought the V2 though with the LEM trigger. Can't wait to get it and shoot it.

I paid less :D
and anyhow... I think the 9mm advice is very well served here... the more you can afford to practice, the better you will be. just spend a little coin on some good self defense ammo and you'll be golden.

I absolutely love my P2000sk LEM. H&K makes great guns no matter what model you choose. As a matter of fact I sold my Glock 19 to get the P2000sk! I don't regret it one bit. The P2000sk definitely conceals better. Get it in 9mm. Cheaper practice ammo, quicker follow-up shots, 1 more round in the magazine, and it's just as effective in terms of stopping power with modern JHP designs (ie Gold Dots, HST, etc). I think .40s&w is a better choice for compact/full-size guns. I also love my USP .40 Compact!
