As I expected, Spooky is legit. He came to HKPro to search for confirmation of reports (not rumors) he heard from inside the community. Based on the digital assault he rec'd from some select members who always have too much to say, a legit user walked away from this forum likely forever. What he thought might have been a useful forum for info exchange on his issue weapon turned out to be a bunch of outsiders with a blind agenda with little more than opinions and rehashed trash.
The ironic thing is those who hang on every site like this one and the others hoping to "learn" the latest about HK this or Colt that so they can pass it on as the "experts" they are not are the problem with the internet. What is also ironic is Spooky knows a lot more of the facts about the HK416 then those who challenged him! And I was never challenging his creds, just those who took their cheap shots at the guy. A real operator would never post his creds here for the likes of us nor would or should he post proof of his statements. It is those who challenge these guys that should put it out there to "prove" their expertise.
Having an HK416 or upper does not make you an expert in the system or its current use. A sample size of one means dick. Even those involved in the HK416's "active life" do not know it all. If you do not get your info from the source or from actual hands on then it is not reliable info. Each time you attack folks like Spooky others with info decide to hold it back and save it just for those one trusts. I stopped responding to those folks and their posts frankly for that reason. Not worth the aggrevation.
A lot more respect to all is due on this site by a select few.
