AGG: If your daughter doesn't get interested in firearms, I might be able to sacrifice and give you an opportunity to leave 'em to me. The things I do for people...

Seriously, though, you have a cute daughter, rext. I commend you for teaching her about guns. Keep it up!!

P.S. I guess I get to be the bad guy and nitpick... but *cough*eyeprotection*cough*

I think you should invite your wife and children to come shooting, even if they don't want to shoot! They'll get curious eventually.......and then.

It's always better to get them comfortable around guns, even if they don't take to them like you do. They will at least have the basic knowledge and familiarization.

Not putting miles on your car,or rounds down the pipe,is like not having sex with your Girl Friend so she'll be more desirable to her next Boy Friend.

I really love to see this. I started my son shooting when he was 5. I was called into school one day because he told his teacher he owned his own .22 kids rifle. They thought he was telling stories until they talked to me. I even tried to get his school to allow the NRA's eddie eagle in to talk to the little ones . They would have none of it. I remember being so fasinated with guns when I was young I even had guns and ammo coming to the house but my parents did not own a gun . My mom refused to buy me one of those crossman m-1 carbine bb guns they sold the the early seventies. Because my kids have been shooting since they were little the obsession I had does ot exist in them . But their friends , its a different story.

I got a membership to a local range and was talking it up with my wife the other day. I was telling her how chill the place was and that she should come out with me sometime. She said "we'll see". That's like the Republicans taking New Jersey and Virginia. Baby steps, but progress nonetheless.
