wow! this show is still on? i totally lost track of it after season 2. anyway, it's probably one of the best shows when it comes to keeping tabs on prop-guns the actor use. i don't know what i was watching but in the span of about 5 minutes on some movie i saw the same actor go from holding a glock, to an HK to a sig.... in the same scene.

Not me, I just wish it would end. Last year was like pulling teeth getting through the season and I can honestly say, if I never hear of Jack Bauer again it that will be AOK with me. They should put a stake through his heart and ended the show three seasons ago IMO. Two seasons ago was bad enough then last season's show was just plain goofy to me and definitely was the jump the shark season.

I will admit last seasons story was convoluted and far-fetched but 24 never fails to leave you on the edge of your seat, every single episode. You have to watch the following week just to see what insane things he's going to have to put up with. Poor JB needs to be left alone. |

Agree with Big-Bore. Season's one and two were great. Very revolutionary for television. Three was a little far fetched but still good. Season four was I thought was stupid and I stopped watching after that. I mean, who did the security background investigations for CTU? They definitely needed to be fired. It was like whack a mole on that show.

LOL, these comments are funny. I'm watching the DVD's of the show, having never seen it before now, and I have made it up to halfway through season 5. It's great not having the commercials to have to sit through, and it's so rewarding being able to go on to the next episode immediately and not have to wait a whole week, or months, or years. I'll probably just wait and buy the Season 8 DVD's too, instead of recording it.
Season 1 started out with the idea of events happening in real time, but by about episode 3 that had been dropped and it never came back, as I recall. Still, it's enjoyable and suspenseful, and right now when so little else is on that interests me, until Burn Notice returns in Jan. and some new Sci Fi starts up, this does the job. But don't you just love how all these professionals (except Jack) never seem to have a round in the chamber when doing their dirty work until they've caught someone and want to scare them with the gun, so that's when they rack the magazine !?!?!? I even saw that on a movie recently, forget which one (probably a mercy), where the bad guy racked the slide on his pump shotgun 2 times within just a couple of minutes of dialogue, to tell his victim that he really means what he's saying, and no shell was ejected either time! Oh, but there was one episode (wish I had jotted down the number) in either Season 4 or first half of Season 5 when Jack Bauer emptied the mag on his handgun and was still holding someone at gun point with it and was about to have to shoot again immediately, WITH THE SLIDE LOCKED OPEN AND JACK MAKING NO EFFORT TO RELOAD OR DISGUISE THE SITUATION, and it was clear from the context that that was not supposed to have happened, but the scene wasn't edited out or reshot (but they did cut away from it real quick-like and didn't come back to it).
