I have a VP9 OR and a P2000, because I am an HK junky. Finding good sights for the P2000 has been an issue (I prefer the Hackathorn style plain serrated black U-notch rear without tritium or dots), like Ameriglo (but they don't make sights for HKs that I can see).
In comparing the VP9 OR (which has different rear sight than regular VP9) and the P2000, it appears that the dovetail dimensions are identical, but I don't have the tools to pull the sights off and put some calipers on them. By eyeball they appear the same. Can anyone else confirm that the VP9 OR (not regular VP9) and P2000 sight dovetails are the same?
The VP9 OR came with awesome sights that are marked XS Sights, though they are nothing like the big dot with wide V you expect from XS (they are like a Hackathorn rear with a front sight that becomes luminous when exposed to light then fades over time). I would like a set of these for the P2000 (if they will fit, and if XS will sell them too me). Anyone else heard of such a thing? Or anyone have any idea for Hackathorn style sights for the P2000? Dawson Precision has some but I don't like the fibre optic style front. I have a set of Trijicons that I have not installed yet, would prefer a plainer Hackathorn style rear.
